The Duke's Head

The last thing I expected to find in Highgate of all places was an American themed pub. Highgate has that very traditional upmarket village feel about it. The place is all large private houses and small worthy independent shops. There's actually a rare independent bookshop still trading successfully. That bookshop is opposite the bar, the Duke's Head, which pays homage to the star spangled banner, native American Indians, the King (Elvis) funky numberplates and classic cinema. It could not be more of an unexpected find.
