London Dream Trip

Studying in the UK, I really love going to London. I still remember the feeling of being deeply impressed by its charm when I first went there. Here, I can stroll along the historic Thames River, visit world-famous museums and art galleries, taste authentic British cuisine, and experience a rich cultural atmosphere. Below is a brief itinerary of my first trip. Day1 - Arrive at Premier Inn London Euston hotel at 12:00 pm and check in. - Visit the Sherlock Holmes Museum at 2pm. - Enjoy afternoon tea at The Goring Hotel at 4pm. - Strolling around Selfridges at 6pm, tasting delicious food in Chinatown. Day2 - Visit the Victoria and Albert Museum at 9am. - Check in at noon for the Chelsea district's popular brunch spot. - Visit Westminster Abbey at 2pm. - Enjoy the panoramic view of Big Ben and the London Eye on Westminster Bridge at 4pm. - Strolling around Harrods at 6pm. Day3 - Visit Buckingham Palace at 11am (with changing of the guard ceremony) - Taste desserts on Regent Street at noon. - Strolling around Piazza del Traghetto at 2pm. - Take the sunset cable car to Greenwich at 4pm in the evening.

The Sherlock Holmes Museum

Stepping into the Sherlock Holmes Museum on Baker Street feels like traveling back in time to Victorian London. The sign outside the museum reads '221B,' marking the residence of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson, the starting point of countless mysteries. The wooden staircase is dark and narrow, with walls adorned with old paintings and books, exuding a strong sense of the era. Entering Holmes' study, every detail meticulously recreates the descriptions from the novels: a desk cluttered with pipes, case files filled with notes, an old microscope, and chemical apparatus, as if Holmes might appear at any moment to begin his analysis. Various props, canes, and hats make visitors feel as though they are part of the investigation, following in Holmes' footsteps to uncover the truth. As the tour progresses, I can't help but feel that Holmes is more than just a fictional character; he is intertwined with the soul of the city. At this moment, the legend of Baker Street is no longer distant but vividly brought to life before our eyes.
