Five days and four nights in Liuzhou, Pingle, and Yangshuo

Route: Liuzhou (2 nights)➡️Pingle (1 night, lunch in Gongcheng)➡️Yangshuo (1 night) Liuzhou Day 1: Stroll around the Five-Star Commercial Pedestrian Street and the Qingyun Minsheng Market. Enjoy luosifen (river snail rice noodles), suanye (sour snacks), cassava羹 (cassava soup), chocolate cake, and fried ice cream. In the evening, treat yourself to a tea bran hair wash (remember to book in advance). Day 2: Get up early and take photos at Longtan Park, capturing the iconic crooked tree, the Wind and Rain Bridge, and Mirror Mountain. Have breakfast at Gubu Market. Take an afternoon nap back at the hotel. Head to Yaobu Ancient Town around 4pm and have dinner there. For afternoon tea, try Qiaomei's, and for dinner, savor the delicious offerings at Dangniulao Beef Offal Hot Pot (remember to get a queue number on the app in advance). Pingle Day 3: Set off for Gongcheng in the morning to indulge in the unforgettable Gongcheng youcha (oil tea). Since it's on the way to Pingle, it's the perfect opportunity to stop by Fenghuangshan Spotted Fish Restaurant. Their youcha is rich and flavorful, and you must try their spotted fish and youcha bao (taro paste-filled buns). After lunch, head to Pingle. For accommodation, we recommend Zhixing Minsu, a renovated guesthouse with uniquely designed rooms. In the afternoon, visit the persimmon orchard or take a boat to the island across the river. Have dinner at the guesthouse restaurant; book your table and order your dishes with the owner in advance. [Alternative plan: If you don't stay in Pingle, you can spend a night in Gongcheng. We recommend Gongcheng Yaojia Minsu. The owner also runs Fenghuangshan Spotted Fish Restaurant, so you can have dinner there. Just tell the staff you'd like to reserve a table. Near the guesthouse, you can take a bamboo raft (around CNY 100 per raft). There's also a persimmon orchard within walking distance. In the morning, you can experience making youcha at the guesthouse.] Yangshuo Day 4: After breakfast at the guesthouse, embark on a 1-hour drive to Yangshuo. Stay at Xijie Shanxia Ou Yu, located within West Street (call the owner in advance to find out where to park). Have lunch at Wangjianglou Restaurant (remember to get a queue number on the app in advance). Around 4pm, rent an e-bike at the guesthouse and explore the Ten Mile Gallery. Navigate to Yichidaotian Cafe and enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way. Return to West Street for dinner. Day 5: Borrow an e-bike from the guesthouse again and have breakfast at Haoyoulai Snack Bar. On the way back, stop by the market to buy some passion fruit and young ginger before heading home.
