Liuzhou, Guangxi – Liuhou Park is a place that carries unforgettable historical memories.

Liuhou Park is located in the city center on the north bank of the Liu River. This century-old park is hidden among the tall buildings. It was built in 1906 to commemorate Liu Zongyuan, a famous writer, politician, and thinker of the Tang Dynasty. Liu Zongyuan served as the governor of Liuzhou for four years in 815 AD. He did a lot for the economic and cultural development of Liuzhou and was deeply loved by the people. After Liu Zongyuan passed away in Liuzhou, the people of Liuzhou built the "Luochi Temple" (Liuhou Temple) to commemorate him. Such a historically significant place is worth a visit to experience the charm of this national key park. After looking at the park map, I went to check in at one attraction after another. Entering from the south gate of the park, I admired the gate tower with both Qing Dynasty and Lingnan styles. It was very charming. In front of me was a majestic statue of Liu Zongyuan. I stepped into Liuhou Temple to visit. Inside the temple, I saw national treasures such as the "Lizi Stele" and "Longcheng Stone Carvings." There are more than 40 precious steles here that are listed as national key cultural relics. There is also the Xianliang Temple and Lecture Hall to visit. I bowed in front of Liu Zongyuan's tomb to show my respect! Luochi and Ganxiang Pavilion are also historical sites. Looking up, I saw ancient trees everywhere. Between the ancient trees and historical sites, there are winding bridges, rockeries, pavilions, and lakes, creating a quiet and historical atmosphere. The newly added attractions in the park are also worth seeing, such as "Liu Wen Yu Jing," Jin Shi Yun, and Liu Liu Pavilion, which add color to the park. As I walked, I saw a red mark – the Liuzhou Liberation Monument, which was erected on November 25, 1950, to commemorate the first anniversary of Liuzhou's liberation. The Chinese Garden in the northeast corner of the park attracts young people to take photos in ancient costumes with its exquisite garden landscape. Walking inside is like entering a water town in Jiangnan, making people feel relaxed and happy. No omissions, no regrets! I left Liuhou Park with satisfaction.
