There is a large natural parking lot at the entrance (1.5-hour drive from Changsha). Recommendations: Bring mosquito repellent or spray, water, drinks, snacks or Snickers bars to replenish sugar (there is a small shop in the middle). Recommended clothing: Wear sports shoes or hiking shoes with good grip, long pants, sunscreen clothing, and bring trekking poles if you have them. Recommended hiking routes: 1. For the beginner route to the top, you can navigate directly to Longwang Temple. The road is accessible by car, but it is not paved. However, cars can pass. It only takes 30–40 minutes to reach the top of Shizhufeng from Longwang Temple, and then you can return to Longwang Temple to pick up your car. 2. For the intermediate hiking route (planned route), you can drive directly to the top of the mountain and park at the entrance of Meirengu in Shizhufeng Scenic Area. Start climbing from the entrance in the first picture. There are guardrails along the way, and no forks, so you can go straight to Longwang Temple. The altitude here is already about 1,000 m, and the scenery is also very good. You can take a short break at Longwang Temple, where there is mountain spring water, farmhouse food, instant noodles, drinks, and water supply. Then continue to climb to the top of Shizhufeng from Longwang Temple. If you have good physical strength, continue down the mountain and drive to Longwang Temple to pick up people. If everyone is in good condition, you can return to Meirengu to drive. This route has many waterfalls and streams, and is very fun. If you don't hike, you can play in the water and enjoy the scenery in the mountains. Climb as far as you can, and you will have a great time. The feeling of being surrounded by mountains is great! The scenery along the way is diverse, with waterfalls (many), streams, mountain views, wild paths, and bamboo forests (with spring bamboo shoots to dig). It is rich in natural ecology and a great place for summer hiking.
