Litang, the City in the Sky: Changqingchunke'er Temple

🍁Changqingchunke'er Temple, also known as Litang Temple, was founded in 1580 by the 3rd Dalai Lama Sonam Gyatso. It is the oldest and largest Gelug temple in the Kham region. 🍁The temple is backed by green mountains and built in a Tibetan-style timber structure. Its magnificent and resplendent exterior is breathtaking against the blue sky and white clouds! The temple houses many precious cultural relics and murals, exuding a mysterious religious atmosphere. It is one of the holy places of Tibetan Buddhism in the Tibetan region. 🍁The temple covers a large area, and cars can drive along the road to the back of the mountain. Litang Temple, at an altitude of 4,000 meters, is open to the public for free. Visitors should visit the temple clockwise from left to right.
