Arco da Rua Augusta, located on the north side of Commerce Square facing the Tagus River, is a magnificent triumphal arch at the entrance to Augusta Street. This gate was built to commemorate the restoration of Lisbon after the 1755 earthquake and was completed in 1873. There is actually an observation deck here, but it is not well known, so it is a surprising hidden spot in Lisbon, with few people even during the day. As it is a new observation deck, there is an elevator. It has a relaxed atmosphere and you can get a panoramic view of Commerce Square, the bridge over the Tagus River, and the cityscape of Lisbon, so I recommend it. Please go and see it.
