I finally arrived at the other side of the Anywhere Door: Guizhou Tang'an terraced fields! ►Tang'an terraced fields were an unexpected discovery during our visit to Zhaoxing Dong Village ▪ Due to the limited time, we didn't plan to visit the terraced fields, but after arriving at the Dong Village early, we happened to come across a shuttle bus heading to Tang'an terraced fields, just short of two people, my bestie and I just embarked on the impromptu hiking trip! ▪ The whole journey was manageable in terms of time; it's a 15-minute drive from the Dong Village to Tang'an, with a transfer to a minibus for the uphill journey, and then a further 10-minute walk to the village upon arrival. To save time, we took the local villagers' private cars to and from the village ►The Tang'an terraced fields are beautiful in every season In spring, the terraced fields are filled with water, reflecting the clouds in the sky In summer, the rice fields are lush green, forming a stark contrast with the stone buildings in the mountains In autumn, the golden rice sways in the wind, a scene of bountiful harvest; in winter, although the rice has been harvested, the terraced fields still show their winter charm ▪ Upon entering the village, you can feel the freedom of blending with nature, the wind, rice fields, blue sky, and white clouds. You can clearly see the clouds drifting in the sky, so beautiful! ▪ From high above with a drone, you can see the irregular shape of the terraced fields and their reflection in the blue sky and white clouds, forming a magnificent picture that you have never seen before ▪ Currently, such terraced fields can only be seen in the Yunnan-Guizhou area. The local residents have created a unique planting method to utilize the sloped land for agricultural production—using platforms at different heights to grow crops like rice. This planting method not only effectively utilizes the limited land resources but also prevents soil erosion and maintains soil fertility.
