Some say the meaning of travel is to encounter a scenery and settle a mood. This warm winter, I came to Lijiang and stayed at Boxin Yun She · Wenyuan, and finally understood that the ideal trip is just like this. Lijiang’s warm winter is just right, with temperatures around twenty degrees, bright sunshine, and gentle breezes. Walking on the stone paths of the ancient town, there’s no need to bundle up in thick cotton clothes; a sweater alone is very comfortable. The furnishings inside are all made of solid wood, carrying a natural vibe. The Dongba script hanging on the walls is the crystallization of Naxi wisdom, and the fresh flowers on the table add a bright touch to the room. Every detail shows care, making one feel like returning home—warm and comfortable. The master bedroom at Boxin Yun She especially stole my heart at first sight. The room is spacious and bright, with excellent lighting. The warm winter sunlight streams through the windows, bathing the room in a cozy glow. The soft big bed and skin-friendly bedding make you want to lie down and have a good sleep. Outside the master bedroom window are the blue tiles and white walls of the ancient town and the distant Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. Lying in bed and enjoying such a beautiful view is simply blissful. Here, I can wake up naturally without an alarm clock, brew a cup of tea after waking, sit by the window, watch the scenery outside, and savor this rare comfort. What impressed me most was the Sky Mirror at Boxin Yun She. Standing on the Sky Mirror feels like standing between heaven and earth. The mirror surface reflects the snow-capped Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, the orderly ancient town, and the clear blue sky of the warm winter. The sunlight sparkles on the mirror surface, making one feel as if in a fairyland. I took many photos here, each like a painting. Standing on the Sky Mirror, looking at the beautiful scenery before me, all worries vanished. The days at Boxin Yun She were my happiest times in Lijiang. The warm winter sunshine, the charm of the ancient town, the grandeur of the snow mountain, and the warmth of Boxin Yun She all made me reluctant to leave.
