The Dongba Heritage Tower in Lijiang

The Dongba Heritage Tower, a golden Tibetan-style Buddhist stupa visible from afar opposite Jade Dragon Snow Mountain in Lijiang Old Town, is worth visiting if you plan to stay in Lijiang for a while. Located south of the mountain, this tower is the only golden Tibetan-style stupa in the area, built in the traditional Tibetan architectural style. It is quite large, standing nearly 50 meters tall. Reportedly, a total of 209 kilograms of gold was used in its construction. Although the tower is not well-maintained, its lack of crowds makes it a peaceful spot to explore.
