Puxian Temple

Puxian Temple is located in Chongren Lane, Qiyi Street, Dayan Street Office, Gucheng District, Lijiang City, Yunnan Province. Built during the Qing Dynasty, it is one of the best-preserved Han Buddhist temples in Lijiang Ancient City. Constructed during the Daoguang period of the Qing Dynasty, the temple is dedicated to Samantabhadra Bodhisattva. The temple's architecture follows a typical "four-sided courtyard with five skylights" design. The main hall is a single-story building facing east and sitting west, featuring a single-eave, nine-ridge hanging mountain roof with raised beam construction. There are three wing rooms on both the north and south sides, while the east side features a two-story gate tower with double eaves and a hanging mountain roof.
