Slow Life in Yunnan | You Won't Want to Leave This Hotel in Lijiang

People say that Lijiang Ancient Town is too commercialized, so I chose a courtyard villa hotel in a quiet area for my trip to Lijiang: Baye Villa Designer Resort Hotel. I had such a great time that my friend and I didn't want to leave. She even said she wanted to stay another day! I was immediately drawn in by the Yunnan-style courtyard design. The hotel is a perfect blend of new Chinese and ethnic styles. There are plenty of places to relax on the first floor. I especially liked sitting on the tatami or in the Chinese-style thatched cottage. I felt so relaxed. The room was also very well designed. The disposable toilet seat covers, shower with hot water, and powerful hair dryer were all very thoughtful. I was also given a sweet "welcome fruit" local apple when I arrived. 🍎 The best part was the colorful shawls! The temperature difference between morning and night in Lijiang is huge, so these shawls were a lifesaver!
