This Liman Hotel is a genuine courtyard, but it's not made of wood; it's newly built with excellent soundproofing. It doesn't have the common soundproofing issues that many guesthouses in Lijiang Ancient Town suffer from, which is an important reason why I chose Liman. I stayed in a large bed room with front and back gardens. The front yard is the central garden, and the back yard is filled with bougainvillea, making it a perfect spot to enjoy the slow life of Lijiang while drinking tea and admiring the flowers. The room features a 2-meter king-size bed, King Koil mattress, Kohler bathroom fixtures, and double washbasins, with hardware far exceeding that of five-star hotels. Moreover, the breakfast is designed by a Michelin chef, and I highly recommend trying the Benedictine bait block, which turns the ordinary Yunnan bait block into a Western-style breakfast, both luxurious and delicious. The hotel also provides a dedicated tea master to brew tea for you, with silver tea sets that add a sense of ceremony. And I heard that the tea leaves are personally collected by the owner from the tea mountains, not available anywhere else, so of course, you can't miss out on the private stash of good tea. The location of the guesthouse is quite good, near the north gate of Lijiang Ancient Town, close to the Big Water Wheel and Sifang Street, and within a 10-minute walk to the Mu Mansion and bar street, making it very convenient to explore the ancient town. The housekeeper will pick up and drop off luggage at the entrance of Lijiang Ancient Town, and the service is very thoughtful!
