Enchanting Old Town 🇨🇳

What a beautiful and enchanting old town. A must see when you are in Lijiang. The old town dates back over 800 years and is a Unesco World Heritage Site. We actually fell in love with this place in an instant. We have never seen an old town as massive as this so we were very surprised just how it is beautifully constructed. There are so many restaurants , coffee shops, bars, souviner shops, tea houses and so much more. The cobblestone streets definitely made this old town so attractive. TIPS‼️ Make sure to find a restaurant that overlooks the old town. It is gorgeous! You can easily spend hours and hours walking here so make sure to wear a pair of comfortable shoes. Tiny streams flowed quietly between stone alleys, reflecting red lanterns that swayed gently in the afternoon breeze 💧❤️. I followed the sound of an old Naxi musician plucking his sanxian 🎶, his melody echoing softly against the wooden walls — ancient yet full of life. Every turn revealed something new: a shop selling handwoven scarves 🧣, an old couple smiling behind rows of silver jewelry 💍, a traveler sketching by the river with a cup of rose tea 🍵🌹.
