Lihue 🏖️

#chillandthrill Lihue, Kauai, was the perfect gateway to explore the “Garden Island” of Hawaii! 🌺🗾 This charming town is surrounded by lush landscapes and stunning beaches. My first stop was Kalapaki Beach, just minutes from the airport and free to enjoy. It’s great for swimming or just chilling on the sand. 🏖️ I also visited Wailua Falls, about a 15-minute drive from Lihue. There’s no entry fee, and the double waterfall is absolutely breathtaking! 🌈💦 A highlight of my trip was the Kilohana Plantation. For $30, I took a scenic train ride around the estate and even fed some friendly farm animals. 🐷 Nearby attractions include the Koloa Rum Company, where I sampled delicious local rum (free tastings!) 🍹 and the Nā Pali Coast, which I explored via boat tour (around $150 but worth every penny).
