Dongchang Ancient City, a treasure of ancient cities

It is the only ancient city in China 'soaked in water', surrounded by lake water like a giant ribbon; it was founded in the third year of Xining during the Song Dynasty, and has a history of nearly a thousand years, yet few people know of its existence; during the Ming and Qing dynasties, it was one of the nine major commercial ports along the ancient canal, thriving economically and culturally for 400 years; it has numerous places of interest, including one of China's top ten famous towers, 'Guangyue Tower', which Emperors Kangxi and Qianlong had visited multiple times... It is the 'Dongchang Ancient City' located in Liaocheng.
