Phra Maha That Chedi Si Wiang Chai, Lamphun Province 🙏Maha That Chedi Si Wiang Chai stands out with its golden Phra Maha That Chedi, standing out so majestically that it can be seen from afar at the entrance. It is shaped like a replica of Shwedagon. It is considered a Buddhist architecture in the Lanna art style, built with laterite. The base is as wide as 1 rai and is 64.39 meters high. It is a Buddhist chedi of 5 Buddhas, which will be the first Buddhist chedi of the Bhadrakalpa for Thai descendants to pay homage in Thailand and the second in the world. 🪴 Luang Pu Kru Ba Chaiyawongsa Phatthana found cow dung of the Lord Buddha when he was a Bodhisattva cow. This cow dung has turned into a sacred relic. Luang Pu Kru Ba Chaiyawongsa Phatthana therefore intended to build a Phra Maha Chedi to cover it at this place, fearing that in the future, if nothing is done, this sacred place will have villagers come to build houses to live in ignorance.
