Wat Phra That Ha Duang, Li District, Lamphun Province This temple is home to a group of five chedis. According to legend, Queen Chamadevi, the ruler of Hariphunchai, heard from the people of Li that five glass balls had appeared frequently. She therefore traveled to see them for herself. At night, she saw the light from the five glass balls floating on five piles of earth. She asked about their origins and learned that they were the water from the hands of the Lord Buddha who had washed his hands. The water flowed through the tips of his five fingers and onto the ground.
