It is known as the "Summer Palace of Lhasa" and is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. 📚[History] 🔸Norbulingka was built in the mid-18th century. It was originally a wasteland with wild animals and weeds. In 1751, the 7th Dalai Lama, Kelsang Gyatso, built the first palace, Kelsang Phodrang, here. Since then, it has become the summer palace of successive Dalai Lamas. After several expansions by successive Dalai Lamas, Norbulingka gradually developed into its current scale. 🏠[Architectural features] 🔸Norbulingka covers an area of 360,000 square meters. The buildings in the garden are mainly in Tibetan style, including palaces, pavilions, and waterside pavilions. The main buildings include Kelsang Phodrang, Golden Phodrang, and Daden Mingjiu Phodrang. Each group of buildings is divided into three parts: the palace area, the area in front of the palace, and the forest area.
