The Potala Palace is located on Marpo Ri Hill in the northwest of Lhasa, the capital of the Tibet Autonomous Region of China. It is a palace-fortress complex, known as the 'Pearl of the Roof of the World.' The Potala Palace is not only a symbol of Tibet but also a sacred place in the hearts of all pilgrims. The main structure of the Potala Palace is divided into two parts: the White Palace and the Red Palace. The White Palace is where the lamas live and conduct political activities, while the Red Palace is mainly used for Buddhist ceremonies and religious activities. Precautions: 1. Wear long pants when entering the Potala Palace; if wearing a skirt, wear black pants underneath. 2. Maintain a good mindset when entering high-altitude areas. 3. Avoid strenuous activities and heavy physical labor. 4. Eat more foods containing glucose. 5. Drink plenty of warm water, avoid overeating, and do not drink alcohol.
