How to get to this incredible place

Took a fast train from Chengdu (45 minutes) and then a taxi from the station (20 minutes) to arrive and find out the buddah was closed! Was literally 50m from it, but couldn't see it at all. Due to heavy ('heavy') rain they had closed the attraction and all the boats had stopped. Due to the position in the cliff, you can't see any of it (not even a toe!) unless you enter the ticket section and it had all been closed. A big shame! Then took 3 hours in a car to get back to Chengdu. A disappointing experience! I suggest contacting someone local to confirm whether it is open or not, I hadn't even considered it would be something they would close. #ancientlandmark#naturalwonders#camping#hiking#nationalpark
