Bradgate deer park, Leicester, England

Whether you're a British traveller wanting to explore something closer to home, or you're visiting the UK and want to do something a little different from exploring the London sights, why not visit Bradgate deer park in Leicester? I had a brilliant trip there last summer. I took public transport, so got the train to Leicester station and then a bus to Bradgate Park. At first, I got off the bus by Cropston Reservoir, which was a very pretty landmark to start the trip with. The huge expanse of water was a sight to behold. Then, it was a short walk to the park itself. There was a a visitor centre, tea room and meeting room in the Deer Barn - I'd highly recommend popping in, not just for cute gifts, but also to learn more about the park. It was like a mini museum, very informative with friendly staff. Another thing to note, which might seem odd pointing out, but I liked that even the bins weren't an eyesore in the park, as they were made of wood. That small touch added to the trip. Now, for the main highlight: the deer! Wow. What can I say? It was epic seeing so many, dotted all around the park. Of course, you need to maintain a safe distance away from them, but they were truly magnificent to see. It felt like such a huge privilege to see them. The rest of the park did not disappoint either. There were epic and huge vast trees and lots of bodies of water, which were very relaxing to sit by. It was a beautiful day out and if you're someone who likes to explore nature and see animals, then you're in for a treat. I'd highly recommend it.
