It is perfect also for non-hikers that want to experience the Swiss alps. Here are my top three reasons why you should visit this amazing place: 1. Stunning architecture 🏡 This amazing restaurant is one of the most famous ones in Switzerland.The location beneath the rock, the hike to the Restaurant is an unforgettable experience. Tip: Aescher restaurant is open from May to November. 2. Incredible Panorama views 🏔 The views from here are breathtaking . Admire the beautiful Swiss landscape while enjoying a delicious breakfast or lunch with typical fresh products from the Appenzell region 🧀 3. Combine your trip with a visit to beautiful Seealpsee 🌳 Seealpsee is one of the most beautiful lakes in Switzerland and I can highly recommend to visit it. If you love hiking and adventure hike the steep path from Restaurant Aescher to Seealpsee (approx 1h) Otherwise take the cable car back down to Ebenalp and walk to Seealpsee (approx 30 min) How to reach this amazing place? 🚂 🚠 Aescher is located approx 2 hours by train or car from Zurich. If you travel by train head to Wasserauen train stop and jump in the Ebenalp cable car just across the train station.
