The Mustard Seed Garden, which shares its name with the garden in Nanjing

The Mustard Seed Garden is located at the foot of Lanyin Mountain in Lanxi City, Zhejiang Province. It is an ancient-style garden built in memory of Li Yu, a famous dramatist, drama theorist, and novelist of the Qing Dynasty. It inherits the architectural style and name of the Mustard Seed Garden in Nanjing and reflects the ancient and simple connotation of the Mustard Seed Garden everywhere. The design concept of the Mustard Seed Garden reflects the architectural characteristics of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The garden is small but includes pavilions, terraces, towers, small bridges, fish ponds, and precious flowers and trees, making it appear large in its smallness, secluded in its winding paths, elegant in its antiquity, and unique in its layout. It is a typical Jiangnan courtyard design style. The Mustard Seed Garden is adjacent to the Lanxi City Museum. It is closed for maintenance every Monday, opens at 9:00 AM, and closes at 5:30 PM.
