Nujiang, Yunnan - Wuli Village

Wuli Village is a small settlement with only 54 households located by the Nujiang River. The villagers are mainly from the Nu ethnic group, with Lisu and Tibetan minorities. The village is built along the Ancient Tea Horse Road, hidden in the mist, resembling a fairyland. Rustic wooden houses, green fields, and clear streams form a beautiful pastoral landscape, earning it the reputation as "China's Most Beautiful Village." Wuli Village is backed by the foothills of Biluo Snow Mountain and faces the Nujiang River. It is divided into two parts by the Wuli River rushing down from the mountains. The village's geographical environment is relatively isolated, with no roads accessible to this day; entry is only possible on foot or by motorcycle and electric bike. A 1.5-kilometer section of the Ancient Tea Horse Road carved into a cliff on the north side of the village is the only transport route connecting Wuli Village to the outside world. To the south, the village connects to the outside via an iron chain bridge and a winding stone path, accessible only by foot. Although Wuli Village does not attract many travelers nowadays, its fame has long spread far and wide. It was selected by China National Geographic magazine as one of the 100 most beautiful scenic photography spots in Yunnan and is known as the "Little Switzerland of Nujiang." Such praise is truly captivating.
