Ho Pui Reservoir

Still consider it a family friendly hike despite the uphill paved road beginning from the village; then it’s an entirely flat paths around the reservoir. Uphill part of the walk do get us sweating. Thought you’ll be seeing the view over Kam Tin. Completed in 1962, Ho Pui Reservoir dam wall is pretty cool. Walking along it, on the right is the gallons of reservoir and on the left you’ll be able to see the dam wall. My kids enjoyed hiking; especially when we saw special creatures such as Koi fishes swimming in the reservoir, lizards that came to say hello, ladybug that flew by, tadpoles at the creek and caterpillars on tree branches. While hiking along Ho Pui Reservoir family trail , you’ll come across some “hot spot” aka instagram worthy photo spot.
