Yunnan Jingdong Confucian Temple

Jingdong Confucian Temple and Kainan Academy|||Walking down Yubi Mountain, you will find Kainan Academy and Confucian Temple nearby. Jingdong Confucian Temple is located at the foot of Yuping Mountain west of Jingdong County. It was built in 1682 and renovated in the 1980s. A highway is being built from Midu to Jingdong or from Ning'er to Jingdong. I was surprised that there are Confucian temples and academies in such remote places. Jingdong Yi Autonomous County, Yunnan Province was one of the earliest developed areas in my country's southwestern border. Neolithic relics unearthed from the Bingkuang site in Linjie Township on the banks of the Lancang River prove that as early as the Neolithic Age, humans lived and multiplied on this ancient and mysterious fertile land. During the Nanzhao period of the Tang Dynasty, it became an important town in the south and once established the Yinsheng Jiedushi. Especially in the Ming Dynasty, after the establishment of Jingdong Wei, a large number of military, civilian and commercial settlements poured into Jingdong, bringing with them advanced culture, science and technology and production experience from the Central Plains. After joint development with local people of all ethnic groups, they greatly promoted the economic and cultural development of Jingdong, and created and passed down a brilliant material and spiritual culture.
