Hariphunchai National Museum

Hariphunchai National Museum is a place to collect antiques and art objects from important temples and archaeological sites in Lamphun Province, totaling more than 3,000 pieces. It was established to collect and display the many antiques and art objects in the northern part of Thailand. Maha Amat Tho Phraya Ratchanakun Wibunphakdi (Uap Paorohit), the Governor of the Payap Province, initiated this project since 1927, when the value of cultural heritage began to be seen more. The museum business, which began in the royal court during the reign of King Rama IV, until it was first opened as a museum for the public during the reign of King Rama V in 1874, resulted in the establishment of many other museums in the country, including the Hariphunchai National Museum. #VisitMuseums #HariPhunchaiNationalMuseum
