Blue sky, blue lake for beautiful summer

Lake Baikal is special in many ways: it’s the largest freshwater lake by volume, it’s also the deepest and oldest lake and one of the cleanest on earth. Olkhon Island is an island on the lake and it’s about 6 hours drive from Irkutsk. The road is a bit bumpy but it’s worth the effort and time. The tranquility there is so unique. I really love walking around the small town and people there are nice. Early summer is the best time to visit so we went in June, but I would like to see it in winter with everything changes from blue to white. #nationalpark #urbanexplorer #russia
