The logo of a famous outdoor brand named after this region is Fitz Roy on the Argentine side⛰️ Lake Torres, located about 10km one way from the village of El Chalten at the foot of the mountain, is a popular trekking course, and can only be climbed without heavy equipment during a limited period of time during the summer when there is no snow (winter in Japan). However, it is quite a climb, and the last 1km or so is an extremely steep scree field that can really get you in the groove, so you need to be prepared at a minimum⚠️ Make sure to bring food, drinks, and removable clothing. If you have a walking stick, it will be much easier! This time, we climbed to see the red Fitz Roy on New Year's Day. It took me almost 5 hours to climb from midnight, and I was exhausted and almost gave up, but I made it just in time and was able to see the magnificent natural beauty with my own eyes 🙌 Fitz Roy seen from Lake Torres is exactly as the logo says, and I was so happy to come.
