Laguna Torre: Patagonia Argentina 🇦🇷 Here we go again... The second hiking route in Patagonia is called Laguna Torre. It is a trek that requires endurance to ascend and descend throughout the journey, both ways. The total distance is 9 kilometers each way, adding up to 18 kilometers in total... The journey takes about 7-8 hours in total, depending on how often you stop to rest, or if you take a lot of photos like me, it averages about 7:30 hours. Although this trail ranks second in beauty to the 26-kilometer Fit Roy, which is the highlight of the Patagonian mountains, the scenery of this trail is no less stunning. The beauty of Laguna Torre requires us to brave the ups and downs of the trail to see the lake beneath the ice stream that flows down into this lake, creating the beauty of large icebergs floating in the middle of the lake, scattered throughout the basin. This makes it another destination for hiking in Patagonia! As you approach the ice stream, the air gets colder immediately, adding another charm to the journey to Laguna Torre. Thanks to the good fortune of April '67, I got to see the leaves changing color, or the leaves getting old and ready to fall from the trees, making the final burst of color beautifully spread across the mountains. We call this season 'Autumn'.... See? Coming once, you get two experiences again. It's worth the walk, worth the sight, and worth the experience.
