Walking along 10,000 gates - Fushimi Inari Taisha

It surprised me that there are 10,000 torii gates along the trail of Fushimi Inari. The torii gates are donations by individuals and companies. We can find the donator's name and the date of the donation written on each gate. The amount of the donation itself is presented by the size of the gate. Fushimi Inari is a Shinto shrine located in Kyoto, Japan. It is well known for its eye-catching vermillion color. The earliest structures were built in 711AD and since then become the most familiar shrine in Japan. People gather here to pray for bountiful harvests, business prosperity, the safety of their homes and family, and the fulfillment of all kinds of other wishes. It's autumn, and the weather is getting cold, somehow looking at the vermillion color gates makes us feel warm 🍁🍂. #fallingforfall
