#springitinerary The Kyoto Imperial Palace is one of those places that feels super fancy without being in-your-face about it. It's got this quiet, royal energy, massive grounds, beautiful old wooden buildings, and enough open space to just wander and chill. Even though it used to be the emperor's home (way before Tokyo took over), it doesn’t feel stiff or overly touristy. The gardens are gorgeous, especially in spring and fall, with trees that basically show off in every direction. There’s gravel paths, little bridges, peaceful ponds. it’s a great spot to take a long walk, zone out, or snap a few pics that look way more dramatic than your walk actually was. It’s right in the middle of the city, but once you step in, it’s like a different world. quiet, clean, and kinda regal. Perfect place to escape the crowds, stretch your legs, and pretend you're strolling through history.
