Kyoto Cherry Blossom Update 🌸 | Spring Sunshine & Full Blooms!

#cherryblossom25 The past few days in Kyoto have been sunny and warm, and the cherry blossoms are finally speeding up their bloom! 🌞🌸 While the Somei Yoshino still has mostly buds, the weeping cherries are nearly in full bloom — it’s a sight to behold! 💖🌸 📍1. Daigoji Temple (醍醐寺) 🌸✨ One of Kyoto’s most anticipated sakura spots each year! By March 30, the weeping cherries were about 70-80% in bloom, and the towering trees were simply spectacular! 🌳🌸 📍2. Daishi Shrine (大石神社) 🌸 Just a 15-minute drive from Daigoji Temple! 🚗 A massive weeping cherry right next to the bridge has reached full bloom — absolutely breathtaking! 🌸🌉 📍3. Sannen-zaka (三年坂) 🌸🏯 The iconic weeping cherry here is in full bloom! 🌸 Pro tip: Get there early! I was there at 5:45 AM to capture a peaceful, empty shot. By 7:00 AM, it was already crowded after visiting Kiyomizu-dera! 😅📸 📍4. Kamo River (鸭川) 🌸🌳 Between Gojo and Shijo, there’s a line of weeping cherry trees along the slope, perfect for portrait photography! 🌸✨ The branches are nice and low, ideal for getting those perfect shots with the blossoms framing you! 📸💖 📍5. Hirano Shrine (平野神社) 🌸🎶 The weeping cherries here are nearly at full bloom, and the night sakura is gorgeous! 🌙 They also have live music performances during the evenings, making for a super romantic, cultural experience! 🎵🌸 #travel
