It was a trip to Kyoto, Japan 🇯🇵 We visited Fushimi Inari Taisha early in the morning ☀️to beat the crowds. The iconic red torii gates that stretch up Mount Inari are a photographer’s dream 📸especially when the light filters through in the morning. Walking through the gates feels like stepping into another world, and it’s a must-see in Kyoto. If you’re looking to capture some magical shots, the early morning light is perfect ✨ 📍68 Fukakusa Yabunouchi-cho, Fushimi Ward, Kyoto 612-0882 We also explored Kiyomizu-dera, one of Kyoto’s most famous landmarks. The main hall, perched on a hill with a massive wooden stage 🪵offers a stunning view of the city and is perfect for photos, especially with the backdrop of seasonal changes. We’d recommend visiting during sunset for the warm golden light, or during cherry blossom season when the grounds are covered in blooms 🌸 📍1-294 Kiyomizu, Higashiyama Ward, Kyoto 605-0862 Our visit to the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove was unforgettable. The towering bamboo stalks create an ethereal atmosphere, and you can’t help but stop and take pictures at every turn 📸We recommend arriving early in the morning to avoid the crowds and experience the grove in peaceful solitude. There’s also a lovely nearby park with views of the river, which makes for a perfect spot to snap some photos 🙌 📍Arashiyama, Nishikyō-ku, Kyoto 616-8394 We also explored the Nijo Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The intricate architecture and beautiful gardens 🌺make for some excellent photo opportunities, especially in the golden hour when the sun sets behind the castle walls. We also loved the “nightingale floors” that chirp as you walk, an added bonus to the experience 🙌 📍541 Nijojocho, Nakagyo Ward, Kyoto 604-8301 Kyoto is full of beautiful places to explore and photograph, and we’d highly recommend taking your time to wander through its gardens, temples, and historic sites.
