The Arashiyama Bamboo Forest

This is one of the must-see destinations in Kyoto. Standing amid these soaring stalks of bamboo is like being in another world. We went early in the morning (around 6am at sunrise) and it was so quiet and quaint. I enjoyed watching the sunrise as I walked across the river to the bamboo forest. Btw, the famous part of the bamboo forest is only about 10m or so, so if you want to get a photo without anyone, go early because when I left around 6:30am, there were already more people walking in. It was quite cold in the morning too, especially by the river. In 2024, I wish to visit this place again. #2024wish
