The hotel is directly opposite the back door of Kennin-ji Temple. From the hotel, you can reach Hanami Lane, Geisha, and the former Kyoto Flower Street Willow Lane through Kennin-ji Temple in less than 10 minutes. Turn right at the end of Hanami Lane for 20-30 meters and you will reach Yasaka Shrine. The location is excellent. Japanese hotel rooms are relatively small, mostly around 20 square meters. But the rooms in Gion Celestine Hotel in Kyoto are very spacious, all around 30 square meters. The hotel also provides a hot spring pool, from 4:00 pm to 10:00 am the next morning, hotel guests can enjoy it for free with their room card. It is clean and not crowded. After a day of playing, taking a hot spring bath is the best way to restore a tired body. The hotel also provides a free shuttle service to Kyoto Station, but they do not accept reservations. You need to check out in advance and wait in the lobby, especially during the peak check-out period between 11:00 and 13:00, you must wait at least 30 minutes in advance, otherwise there may not be seats.
