It was a day off so I went for a leisurely run at Kwun Tong Promenade and then to the Harbourfront for lunch. I didn't expect there to be so many executives from the offices upstairs eating there during lunch time. I had to wait for nearly 15 minutes for a table, but the crowd dispersed at one or two o'clock. If I had known, I would have run for a while longer. I wanted to try their "Haibao Don", but it was sold out. It turns out that the lunch menu changes every week and can be previewed on the dedicated page. Hokkaido scallops, black truffles, Parma ham, onsen egg, pasta - $148 Three thick and plump Hokkaido scallops are snow-white in color, sweet and juicy with a lingering aftertaste, and fried on both sides to perfection; the onsen egg bursts with a poke, adding a runny yolk flavor, while the egg white is as tender and smooth as tofu pudding; the slices of Parma ham are fried until soft and crispy, with a sweet and fragrant taste; the pasta is filled with the rich aroma of black truffles; and it is served with a refreshing apple salad and a small dessert. Sesame Chicken Wings +$38 Three Japanese sesame chicken wings fried until crispy and not greasy, with white sesame seeds, the sesame flavor is particularly strong. Charcoal Roasted Oolong Latte +$31 Charcoal roasting slightly increases the fermentation degree of oolong tea, giving it a charcoal aroma and a very sweet aftertaste. Cake of the day +$38 There are three flavors, and I chose the Hokkaido milk roll. The smooth fresh cream in the middle is made from Hokkaido milk, which has a particularly rich milky flavor.
