Jion falls of Oita

#getgoing2025 Jion no Taki (Jion no Taki) is a two-tiered waterfall with a drop of 30 metres, including the upper 20 metres and the lower 10 metres. A promenade leading to the waterfall is maintained, and it is also known as "Urami Falls" because it can head to the back of the waterfall. A long time ago, a big snake that lived in a waterfall was sick, but the legend that a monk calmed down the big snake is the origin of the name. There are roadside stations, cafes and soba restaurants that you can use while watching the waterfall in the neighbourhood. There are also slippery places on the promenade, so please wear comfortable walking shoes when you go out.
