Astrid-Kapelle Küssnacht am Rigi

This small beautiful Chapel sits on the shore of the Lake of the Four Cantons, and was built in memory of the Swedish-born Queen Astrid of Belgium (Princess of Sweden). In 1935, the beloved Queen Astrid of Belgium lost her life in a tragic car accident near the site. It's well worth a short stop on the way to Lucerne. From the terrace, one can enjoy a breathtaking scenery of the lake and the mountains, and a perfect place for taking great photos. It can be reached from the car park across the highway via an underpass, where you can also find free and clean restrooms.
