[Kusatsu] Take a day trip to hot springs from Tokyo to Kusatsu

While staying at a friend's house in Tokyo, it happened to be a cold day, so I decided to head to Kusatsu on the spur of the moment to see the snow in an open-air bath. I had confirmed that there was no snow on the ground until yesterday, and assumed that public transportation would be functioning on the way back, so I took the JR line. I took a bus from Naganohara-Kusatsuguchi Station to the hot spring town. As planned, I arrived in Kusatsu in the middle of snow, and enjoyed my first ever open-air bath with a view of the snow. Kusatsu Onsen has many hot springs and foot baths for day trips, so you can enjoy it even if you go on the day. You can bring a towel with you, but I was able to buy a hand towel for about 200 yen, so it's nice to buy one as a souvenir. #0yentrip
