If you're staying in Kurayoshi

Located in the center of Tottori Prefecture. Kurayoshi Station is about an hour away from JR Tottori Station by taking the Super Hokuto Express. The town is rich in nature and has a tranquil atmosphere. Hotel Arc 21 is about a 5-minute walk from Kurayoshi Station. Breakfast is included, and if you use the government's travel discount and area-only coupons together, it's a great deal! There is a large public bath on the top floor. However, it is divided into two sections: men can use it from 18:00 to 24:00, but women can only use it in the morning and evening. If you come for sightseeing or work, women won't be able to make it in time. It's hard to come back to the hotel and not be able to take a bath... There is a unit bath in the room, so I put up with it. However, perhaps because the water in Tottori Prefecture is clean, the tap water is soft, and even the unit bath is good for your skin? I felt like that. The room was very comfortable and there was free Wi-Fi. The only amenities were toothbrushes. Women could not use the large public bath, but instead received a sample set of shampoo, lotion, etc. There were also green tea tea bags. If I were to be greedy, I would like coffee too. The tap water is clean, so I guess they just use tap water. There was a mini fridge, but it was empty. There is a microwave, plastic wrap, and disposable chopsticks in front of the elevator. Breakfast is served at the attached izakaya. Breakfast is served from 6:30 to 8:30. You can't enter directly from the hotel, you have to go through the hotel entrance and go to the next door. The rice is very delicious, probably because of the good water from Tottori. I was told to sit at the counter with about six seats, but I wonder what they'll do if other guests come in groups. It seems that you can have more rice, but the staff didn't tell me. (I found out from other guests.) It's the same every day, so maybe the side dishes would be different each day? The self-service after-meal coffee had a cloth covering the coffee maker, so I thought it was prohibited to use. It actually seems that you can drink it. The inside of the restaurant is dark and the staff are unfriendly, so it would be better if it was a little brighter for breakfast. . However, with the travel discount, it was essentially 1000 yen per night including breakfast, so I have no complaints! Kurayoshi is a very picturesque place, with the Kurayoshi White-Walled Storehouses, a nationally designated Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings, and Misasa Onsen, one of the world's leading radon springs.
