Recently on a business trip + vacation in Kunming, I discovered a treasure of a hotel, the Dreamscape Encounter Art Hotel, and couldn’t help but immediately share it with everyone planning to visit the Spring City! After staying here, I really want to recommend it to the whole world—the value for money is unbeatable and the service is incredibly thoughtful💯 🏨 Hotel Location & Style This art hotel is tucked away in the annex of the Eleven Furniture Building, just a 5️⃣-minute walk from Aegean Shopping Center! The decor is a perfect ins-style art vibe, with rooms in red + blue as the main colors, super stylish and every photo looks like an artsy masterpiece. For those driving👉 the free parking lot is a huge plus! It’s about a 10-minute drive to Dianchi Lake and Park 1903~ ✨ Service Details That Impress • Greeted at the door by the front desk lady’s healing smile, she proactively helped with luggage and gave me a map for sightseeing • The freedom to do laundry is so touching! The self-service laundry room on the 4️⃣th floor is free to use (also equipped with an iron and ironing board, in the picture I’m drying a pillowcase) • Came back to the room late at night and found a silver ear fungus soup snack on the TV stand… who else appreciates these details!! 🛏️ Room Highlights from Experience • Humidifier + disposable toilet seat covers (a dream for cleanliness freaks) • USB ports by the bed and free private Wi-Fi, perfect for binge-watching in bed • Bathroom with dry and wet separation, shower products scented with gardenia 🍜 Foodie Must-Know The breakfast rice noodles are amazing! They even have freshly toasted bread🍞~ The little cakes look great and taste great too~ ⚠️ Practical Tips 1. Book in the off-season to save half the price, and for weekends, it’s best to book 3 days in advance 2. For family trips, remember to ask the front desk for children’s slippers + toothbrushes (free!) 3. For laundry, it’s best to go after 10 PM to avoid queues 4. On B1 of Aegean Shopping Center, there’s a “Lao Dian Wei” restaurant that’s highly recommended! After staying here, I instantly understood why there are so many repeat guests—enjoying a 500+ experience for just over 200, and they even gave me two packs of Pu’er tea as a parting gift😭 Next time I come to Kunming, this place is locked in!
