Lake Dianchi: A Day in Kunming

Lake Dianchi is the inspiration behind the Summer Palace in Beijing! After visiting both places, I can truly say that the Chinese use the word 'inspiration' very accurately—they resemble each other so much! Both are stunningly beautiful. The weather was great; I was initially worried it might rain, but it only stayed cloudy without any rain, making the atmosphere cool and pleasant. Many locals were out walking, exercising, socializing, and even playing chess in dedicated groups. The vibe was fantastic! However, there didn’t seem to be many restaurants around—or maybe I just couldn’t find them?
