Green Lake Park

One of Kunming's iconic attractions, the Ruan Causeway and Tang Causeway in the park were built in 1834 and 1919 respectively, symbolizing important moments in Kunming's history. In addition, Cuihu Park is a good place for bird watching. Every winter, thousands of red-billed gulls come here to overwinter, forming a beautiful scene of harmonious coexistence with the people of Kunming. Yunnan Army Academy It is a famous military academy in modern Chinese history. It was originally a military school established in the Qing Dynasty to train a new army and strengthen border defense. Founded in 1909. Famous graduates: Zhu De, Ye Jianying, Tang Jiyao, Li Liejun, Zhu Peide, Long Yun, Sheng Shicai, Lu Han, Vo Nguyen Giap (Commander-in-Chief of the Vietnamese People's Army), Choi Yong-gun (Commander-in-Chief of the Korean People's Army). There are performances every day at 10am. Luhan Mansion It is the residence of Lu Han, the former chairman of Yunnan Province. It was built in 1933 and is the best preserved and largest French-style building in Kunming. It is now established as the Yunnan Uprising Memorial Hall. Green Lake Hotel It used to be the guesthouse of the provincial government, next to the Lu Han Mansion. Note: These attractions are all around Green Lake, and a day trip is enough time.
