The beauty of Fuxian Lake by the Lucong scenic area

386 years ago, from May to July 1638, China's first adventurer in 'Xu Xiake's Travel Notes' praised Fuxian Lake in his 'Diary of a Trip to Yunnan': 'The Dian mountains are mostly made of soil, hence many streams are dammed to form lakes, but the waters are mostly muddy, only Fuxian Lake is the clearest.' Fuxian Lake is located between Chengjiang, Jiangchuan, and Huaning in Yuxi City, with a surface area of 212 square kilometers, second only to Dianchi Lake and Erhai Lake; the deepest point of the lake is 155 meters, with a storage capacity of 18.5 billion cubic meters, which is four times the total storage capacity of Dianchi Lake and Erhai Lake. Fuxian Lake is known as the 'Pearl of the Plateau' and a summer retreat, with clear and transparent waters, and a vast expanse of glittering waves. At the beginning of April, we participated in a health and wellness tour of Fuxian Lake and stayed at the 'Xingsheng Hotel' opposite the entrance to the Lucong scenic area of Fuxian Lake. The specialty dishes of Fuxian Lake are copper pot fish, stone pot fish, and copper pot potato rice. The Lucong scenic area is located on the west side of Fuxian Lake and is the only 4A scenic area of the lake; the ticket price is 15 yuan, half price for those aged 60-69, and free for those over 70; after registering at the main gate, the ticket allows multiple entries into the scenic area within a week. This place was originally the Lucong fishing village, nestled between mountains and facing the lake, with steep cliffs on Bijia Mountain, and attractions such as Lingshen Pavilion, Guanyin Temple, and Yuyan Pavilion on the mountain, as well as Golden Sand Beach, Breathe Bay, and Banyan Tree Bay by the lake, shaded by ancient trees, and also features fish caves and the remains of car water fishing; seven o'clock in the morning is the perfect time to watch the sunrise.
