Yunnan Province Kunming City

Kunming City, also known as the City of Eternal Spring, is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Yunnan Province, the provincial capital, a mega-city, and the central city of the Central Yunnan urban agglomeration. Kunming City is a national historical and cultural city. Humans have thrived around Dianchi Lake as early as 30,000 years ago; in the 19th year of King Qingxiang of Chu (278 BC), the Dian Kingdom was established with its capital here; in the first year of Yongtai of the Tang Dynasty (765 AD), the Nanzhao Kingdom built Tuodong City, marking the beginning of Kunming's establishment; in the late Ming Dynasty, the Southern Ming Yongli regime established its capital in Kunming. Kunming has a North subtropical low-latitude plateau mountain monsoon climate and is a mountainous and plateau terrain. Due to its location on a low-latitude plateau, it has a 'spring-like' climate all year round and enjoys the reputation of 'City of Eternal Spring'.
