Located in Chuo Ward, Kumamoto City, this masterpiece of castle construction technology from the Warring States to Edo period is one of Japan's three most famous castles, also known as Ginkgo Castle. The castle, built from 1601, features large and small castle towers, turrets, stone walls, as well as a vast garden and moat.
