[Kumamoto Daijingu Shrine]

#DomesticTravelRecord Located at the foot of Kumamoto Castle in Kumamoto Prefecture, Kumamoto Castle Inari Shrine is located to the south. To the left of the main shrine, the stone walls of the main citadel of Kumamoto Castle stand. It is called "Kumamoto's Oise-san" because it enshrines the god of Ise Shrine. In 1876, in order to spread the divine virtue of Ise Shrine, it was founded within Kumamoto Castle to welcome and enshrine the sacred seal of the shrine. It suffered severe damage in the Kumamoto earthquake that occurred in April 2016. Right next to it are the "Higashi Juhachiken Yagura" and "Kita Jujiken Yagura" of Kumamoto Castle, and the stone walls collapsed during the earthquake and broke through the roof of the shrine office.
