Kumamon-Themed Railway

Don't miss the adorable Kumamon Railway when you visit Kumamoto City in Kyushu, Japan. While Kumamoto is famous for Kumamon, there's a lesser-known Kumamon Railway in a slightly off-the-beaten-path area! The Kumamoto Railway connects Kamikumamoto to Kita-Kumamoto, and it's serviced by Kumamon-themed trains. At the quaint Kita-Kumamoto station, you'll be delighted to see two Kumamon trains arriving simultaneously, making for a fun experience. Kids will be thrilled by the numerous Kumamon decorations on the train and will eagerly take photos with the train's exterior. Kamikumamoto Station is only about 10 train stops from the center of Kumamoto City, so it's definitely worth spending a little time to take a ride on this whimsical Kumamoto Railway with your children!
